I just need advice here...seems like I've needed a lot lately. For anyone that knows the HELL I go through shipping/receiving stuff, it will be no surprise my luck has not been any better. Anyway, I sold a part to a guy on Ebay. I sent the package out US Mail, insured and tracked (which you can do with express). Anyway, it gets there okay and I get PAID. Now, I find out the part is wrong...this is not his fault NOR mine. We're even here. But rather than contact me about this, he throws it back in the box and sends it back to me without telling me for a few days. He sent it back regular US Mail with NO insurance and delivery confirmation. He wants his money back, but I want to wait until I get my part back. Sounds fine right...well it gets WEIRD now. So it takes a long time...I call and find out that with the delivery confirmation number that it says the package was delivered on Oct 28th!! I was in Bakersfield at the time and NOT at home. I have no neighbors to accept it and I live alone. I live in a gated community where the mailman DOES have access to it, but there's nothing big to hold a box. So they normally leave TAGS to go pick up the item. But I got NO TAG and they SWEAR they wouldn't leave the package just sitting there. YET, they sent the confirmation to this guy saying it was delivered!! So I'm screwed. This guy thinks I got the package, but I really didn't. The Postal Service can't "track" the packages movement because all he got was a confirmation number, NO TRACKING. And he did NOT insure it like I did. He emailed me saying "They never lose packages anymore, they've never lost mine so I didn't insure it". So what the hell do I do? I'm screwed out of my $350 and part AND the guy wants his money. It's nto his fault for the mis-shipment, but he dropped the BALL sending it back to me. But the US Mail service screwed up too....who's to blame? Do I refund his money and just eat it? ARGH!!! That's number 11 on the Seedy's been screwed by the UPS/US Mail and FEDEx service. I give up...I'm driving all packages to everyone :) Thanks all...
